Like most that have made the transition to building a business online I started back years ago with MLM type opportunities.
The biggest problem I had that led me to looking for alternatives to MLM was the fact the almost every opportunity focused on recruiting new people into the business rather than the products being offered.
This was almost because without the products were border line quality at best so selling them was even harder then convicting a new recruiter to sign on under me to not sell them as well.
I also grew tired of the "dial and smile" you would hear from just about every upline you worked with no matter the business.
Things kind of started sounding like a broken record.
It took several years of searching for viable alternative to MLM before I started putting together an income and growing it online but, the difference was incredible.
I actually started out using the Google AdSense program which is something I do a little of still today. It can be a nice steady addition to a monthly income along with adding in some other great affiliate marketing programs.
Affiliate marketing programs are a great alternative to MLM because you spend your time helping companies grow by sending potential customers that want to buy quality products rather than signing up more business partners.
Sites like ClickBank, Commission Junction, Shareasale and Linkshare all offer great alternative business programs to MLM and allow you to partner with thousands of legitimate companies online.
The refreshing part about the online alternatives to MLM are that I no longer spend my days trying to convince people to "sign on" over the phone or working up new leads that I would then start "dialing and smiling" as well.
If there is anything I have learned over the years it would be that one simple website can really be a full time source of income once one understands how to use the power of the online world to start driving people to what you want them to see.
It has allowed me to get into many more business partnerships than MLM would ever allow time wise and I am dealing with companies that I am proud to be working with daily.
When you can say you partner with companies like Google, Amazon, Walmart and even some of the many legitimate small mom and pop type shops online, it really makes a difference in how you approach your business on a daily basis.
